 What is Trauma Therapy?

Trauma therapy is a specialized, evidence-based approach designed to help you process difficult or overwhelming experiences in a safe and structured way.

It focuses on helping you stabilize your symptoms, understand how trauma is impacting you, and gradually work through those experiences so they no longer feel as intense or controlling.

How Trauma Therapy Can Help

Reduce flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, and emotional overwhelm

Improve emotional regulation and decrease anxiety or panic

Help your body feel calmer, safer, and more grounded

Improve sleep, focus, and day-to-day functioning

Help you re-engage in relationships, work, and meaningful activities

Our goal is to help you feel more stable, present, and in control of your life again.

Our Approach to Trauma Therapy

Our therapists use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs and pace.

We follow a structured approach: first helping you feel safe and stable, then guiding you through deeper processing so trauma no longer controls your thoughts, emotions, or reactions.

Treatment typically includes:

Comprehensive intake and trauma-focused assessment

Stabilization work (grounding, emotional regulation, distress tolerance)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other trauma-processing methods

Trauma-focused CBT, somatic approaches, and attachment-based work

Gradual processing of traumatic experiences when you’re ready

Safety planning, crisis support, and aftercare planning

Who Is This For?

Adults or adolescents experiencing trauma or PTSD symptoms

Survivors of abuse, neglect, assault, or betrayal

Individuals struggling with anxiety, panic, dissociation, or emotional overwhelm

Those dealing with unresolved past experiences affecting daily life

If you feel stuck in patterns shaped by past experiences, this may be a good place to start.
